In 2005, Prof. Dr. Erdal Karaoz was a visiting scholar at the Joslin Diabetes Center affiliated with Harvard Medical School. In 2006, he returned to the Republic of Turkey and established the country's first Stem Cell Research Center.
Prof. Dr. Erdal Karaoz has organized over 23 national and international seminars on fundamental technologies related to stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells. He has also been the leader or researcher in over 40 national and international research projects.
